Cusco 7 Days

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, an exciting day of exploration begins through the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the most beautiful and history-laden routes in all of Peru. Our first stop will be at the Taray viewpoint, from where you can appreciate a spectacular panoramic view of the valley, surrounded by imposing mountains and agricultural fields that are still cultivated as in ancestral times.

The day continues in Pisac, where we will tour its colorful artisan market full of textiles, ceramics and traditional jewelry, in addition to visiting its imposing archaeological complex, which dominates the heights with terraces, temples and privileged views of the valley.

Later, we will head to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch that combines the best of regional cuisine with fresh ingredients and local flavors.

In the afternoon, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, an architectural and strategic jewel of the Inca empire. Its impressive fortress will tell us of epic battles and its astonishing urban planning will remind us of Inca ingenuity. After the visit, we stay in this charming town, unique in the world for keeping its original Inca layout intact.

After breakfast, we undertake one of the most anticipated experiences of the trip: the visit to Machu Picchu. We will board the panoramic train from Ollantaytambo toward the town of Machu Picchu (also known as Aguas Calientes), on a scenic journey that follows the course of the Urubamba River between green mountains and Andean jungle landscapes.

Upon arrival, we will take the tourist bus that will take us along a winding ascent route to the entrance of the archaeological site. Once inside, the guided tour will begin (approximately 2 and a half hours), where we will discover the mysteries of this wonder of the world: its temples, ceremonial squares, agricultural terraces and natural viewpoints will transport us to the height of the Inca Empire.

After the tour, you will have free time to explore at your own pace, take memorable photographs or simply contemplate the imposing landscape that surrounds this jewel of humanity.

Later, we will go down again to Aguas Calientes to take the return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy. Finally, our team will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco to rest after this unforgettable day.

Today an unforgettable adventure begins toward one of the most breathtaking landscapes of the Andes. We will depart very early, around 4:00 a.m., toward the majestic Salkantay snow peak. En route, we will make a stop to enjoy an energetic breakfast before starting the hike.

The hike, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, will take us along high mountain trails until reaching the Humantay Lagoon, a mirror of turquoise water nestled at more than 4,200 m.a.s.l., fed by the glaciers of the Humantay and Salkantay snow peaks. Upon arrival, you will have time to breathe the pure air, contemplate the Andean landscape and capture spectacular photographs. This is a unique connection with the nature and spirituality that surrounds the Apus, sacred mountains for the Incas.

After a period of rest, we will begin the return to Cusco, where you will arrive in the afternoon. You will have the night free to enjoy the city in your own way, try the local gastronomy or simply relax.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on a fascinating excursion into the heart of Inca agricultural knowledge. Our first destination will be Moray, a set of concentric circular terraces believed to have functioned as an ancient agricultural laboratory. Each level has a different microclimate, allowing the cultivation of various species. This impressive site not only amazes for its architecture, but also for its ancestral ingenuity.

We will continue to the iconic Maras Salt Mines, where more than 3,000 salt pools carved into the mountainside form a visually striking landscape. Used since pre-Inca times, these salt mines still operate today through traditional methods. Walking among the pools is like going back in time and witnessing a living heritage.

In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco so you can enjoy your last night in the city. We recommend making the most of it by exploring the historic center, dining at one of its typical restaurants or purchasing artisan souvenirs.

We will get up very early to begin one of the most impactful experiences of the trip: the visit to the famous Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca). At 4:00 a.m. we will depart from Cusco heading south, with a stop en route to enjoy an energizing breakfast.

Then, a hike of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours will begin through the high Andes, surrounded by landscapes that seem to be from another world. Finally, we will reach 5,036 m.a.s.l., where the Rainbow Mountain rises, a natural phenomenon formed by minerals that paint the earth with red, green, turquoise, yellow and violet tones.

You will have enough time to rest, take unforgettable photos and marvel at the environment that combines sky, mountain and living culture. After the visit, we will return along the same route and enjoy a local lunch.

We will arrive in Cusco at the end of the day to rest after this magical journey.
