Detailed itinerary

Upon arrival at Cusco International Airport, our team will be waiting to provide a warm welcome and transfer you to your hotel in the historic center, steps away from the Plaza de Armas. After resting to acclimatize to the Andean altitude, we begin an afternoon journey into the living history of the Inca Empire.

The route starts at the Cathedral of Cusco, housing colonial religious art that reflects the syncretism of Andean and Spanish cultures. Next, visit Qorikancha, the ancient Sun Temple whose walls were once sheeted in solid gold. The tour continues across the archaeological sites surrounding the city: Sacsayhuamán with its megalithic stone walls, the rock-carved shrine of Q’enqo, the military outpost of Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay, dedicated to the water cult. Return to your hotel with the evening free to enjoy the imperial city.
