Peru Trip: The Land of a Thousand Treasures

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the Lima airport to take your flight to Cusco, the majestic historic capital of Peru and spiritual center of the ancient Inca Empire. Upon your arrival, our team will be waiting to take you to the hotel and give you a short rest before beginning an afternoon full of history and culture.

We will begin the City Tour of Cusco by visiting its imposing Cathedral, a colonial architectural jewel that holds unique artistic treasures. Then we will head to the Koricancha, the legendary Temple of the Sun, where the grandeur of the Andean worldview can still be perceived.

We will continue outside the center to explore the main archaeological sites surrounding the city: the impressive complex of Sacsayhuamán, with its enormous stone blocks carved with precision, followed by the mysterious formations of Qenqo, the fortress of Pucapucara and the ceremonial fountains of Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca.

At the end of the tour, you will return to the hotel in Cusco to rest and prepare for the next day full of Andean landscapes and living heritage.

After breakfast, we will begin an exciting tour of one of the most emblematic places in the Andean world: the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a vast territory surrounded by majestic mountains, fertile agricultural terraces and communities that keep their ancestral traditions alive.

Our first stop will be at the Pisac Archaeological Complex, famous for its precisely built Inca terraces and its panoramic views of the valley. Then we will visit the traditional market of Pisac, where you can observe colorful handicrafts, Andean textiles and local products.

We will continue to a local restaurant to enjoy a buffet lunch with typical flavors of the region, a perfect pause to recharge surrounded by nature.

In the afternoon, we will explore the imposing fortress of Ollantaytambo, an archaeological site full of history and a clear example of advanced Inca engineering. After the guided tour, you will have free time to keep exploring this charming town on your own.

We recommend visiting places such as the traditional Qosqo Ayllu neighborhood, the terraces and temples of Qelloracay, the archaeological viewpoint of Pinkuylluna, or simply relax in the main square of Ollantaytambo, surrounded by living Inca architecture.

We will end the day with a night of rest in a 3-star category hotel in Ollantaytambo, in a quiet and magical setting, ideal to recharge for the great day ahead.

This will undoubtedly be one of the most exciting moments of your trip. Very early, after breakfast at the hotel, we will begin the transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo, on a journey of approximately 2 hours surrounded by Andean landscapes that prepare you for an unforgettable experience.

From there, you will take a tourist train toward Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes), crossing green valleys, mountains and rivers that accompany the road with their natural beauty. Once in the town, a comfortable bus will take you along a winding road to the top of the mountain, where one of the most impressive destinations on the planet is located: the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu.

Accompanied by a specialized guide, you will tour the main sectors of this archaeological site declared a World Heritage Site: ceremonial temples, sacred squares, agricultural terraces and mysterious passages. Every corner reveals the deep knowledge of the Incas about astronomy, architecture and connection with nature.

After the tour, you will take the bus back to Machu Picchu Pueblo, where you can rest briefly before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo. Finally, our transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusco, where you will spend the night in a comfortable 3-star hotel, with your soul renewed for having set foot on one of the wonders of the modern world.
