Peru: Enjoy the Beauty of the Peruvian Coast and the Andes

Very early in the morning, at 5:00 a.m., we begin our journey to the south of the country. A comfortable private transport will pick you up at your hotel in Lima to begin the trip to Paracas, in the Ica region. During the journey you will enjoy a light breakfast to recharge your energy.

Upon arrival, you will board a speedboat to do the fascinating tour to the Ballestas Islands, known as "the Galápagos of Peru", where you can observe sea lions, guano birds and, with some luck, Humboldt penguins, in addition to the mysterious geoglyph of El Candelabro carved in the desert sand.

Then we will continue to Ica, where we will visit a traditional winery to enjoy a typical lunch and a tasting of artisanal wines and piscos. Here you will learn more about the production of the emblematic Peruvian pisco.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the famous Huacachina oasis, a unique place surrounded by high golden dunes where you will live an experience full of adrenaline with the buggy ride and sandboarding. You will also have free time to take photographs, relax by the lagoon or shop for handicrafts.

We close the day with a tasting of local liquors and a lively show of Afro-Peruvian music and dances, which will put the perfect finishing touch to this day full of emotions. At night, we return to Lima to rest.

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Lima, we will head to the airport to take a flight to the historic city of Cusco, capital of the ancient Inca Empire and one of the most important cultural jewels in South America. The flight over the Andes mountain range is an unforgettable experience, giving you majestic views of the valleys and snow-capped peaks.

Upon your arrival in Cusco, our team will welcome you warmly and transfer you to your hotel. You will have a short time to adapt to the altitude and rest before starting in the afternoon one of the most fascinating tours of the trip: the City Tour of Cusco and its nearby archaeological sites.

We will begin the tour in the heart of the city with the Cusco Cathedral, a masterpiece of colonial baroque art, which houses altarpieces, paintings of the Cusco school and impressive architecture that fuses the Spanish heritage with Andean elements. Then we will visit the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, an Inca ceremonial center that was transformed by the conquistadors into the Convent of Santo Domingo, showing the unique fusion between two cultures.

Later, we will head to the outskirts of the city to visit Sacsayhuamán, a majestic Inca fortress built with cyclopean stones that fit perfectly without the need for mortar. The tour continues with visits to the enigmatic complexes of Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay, spaces that reveal the ingenuity and spiritual connection of the Incas with nature.

After the tour, you will return to your hotel, preparing for the adventures that come in the following days.

After enjoying a comforting breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, we will begin a day full of history, ancestral engineering and landscapes that seem taken from a postcard. This tour will take you to the heart of the Sacred Valley to get to know two of the most surprising sites of the Inca legacy: the Maras Salt Mines and the Moray archaeological complex.

We begin our tour with a panoramic transfer through Andean fields and traditional communities until reaching Maras, where hundreds of salt pools form white terraces over the mountainside. These salt mines, still active since pre-Inca times, are a visual spectacle and an example of the ancient hydraulic knowledge that is still in force. You will have time to walk around the place, take unforgettable photographs and acquire artisanal pink salt, recognized for its natural properties.

Then, we will head to Moray, a natural agricultural laboratory built in the form of circular terraces that descend toward the center of a crater. It is believed that the Incas used this space to experiment with crops at different altitudes and microclimates. The place is an impressive example of their advanced understanding of agriculture and the environment. You will walk among its levels, admiring the geometric perfection and feeling the special energy that is still perceived in the place.

After the visit, we will return to the city of Cusco in our private vehicle. The afternoon is free so you can relax or explore the historic center of the city on your own.

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our tour to one of the most emblematic destinations in Peru: the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas. This day will take us through impressive landscapes, ancient archaeological sites and communities that still proudly preserve their ancestral traditions.

We will begin by visiting the archaeological complex of Pisac, located high on a mountain, where the agricultural terraces merge with the sky and the Inca constructions reveal the advanced architectural knowledge of this civilization. Then, we will go down to the famous artisan market, where the vibrant colors of the textiles, ceramics and jewelry invite us to discover the creativity of the local artisans.

At midday, we will delight in a buffet lunch prepared with fresh products from the region, ideal to recover energy and continue exploring. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns, whose stone walls and cobblestone alleys transport us back in time. We will visit its impressive archaeological complex, a ceremonial and strategic site that guards stories of resistance and spirituality.

At the end of the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the charms of Ollantaytambo at your own pace. You can walk through the traditional Qosqo Ayllu neighborhood, ascend to Pinkuylluna and marvel at its panoramic view of the valley, or simply relax in the main square while enjoying the unique atmosphere of this magical place.

This day is dedicated entirely to one of the most anticipated moments: the visit to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the seven wonders of the modern world. After breakfast, we will begin our trip leaving from the hotel in Ollantaytambo to the train station, where we will board a comfortable and panoramic railway journey that will take us through the majestic Sacred Valley, skirting rivers and mountains covered with vegetation, until reaching the charming town of Machu Picchu, also known as Aguas Calientes.

From there, we will go up by bus to the top of the mountain, where the mythical sanctuary of Machu Picchu awaits us. During the guided tour, we will explore this architectural jewel of the Incas, discovering its temples, ceremonial enclosures, agricultural terraces and natural viewpoints that offer breathtaking views of the mountain range. Our expert guide will reveal the secrets of this sacred city, its history, its connection with nature and its spiritual importance.

After this unforgettable tour, we will descend again by bus to the town of Machu Picchu, where you can have lunch on your own, take a break or acquire unique souvenirs of the place. Later, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo and, upon arrival, a vehicle will be waiting to transfer us to the city of Cusco.

Today you will live one of the most impactful experiences of the trip: an adventure excursion to the majestic Humantay Lagoon, one of the most photogenic natural destinations in Peru. Very early in the morning, we will depart from Cusco to the town of Mollepata, where you will enjoy an energetic breakfast to start the day.

Then, we will continue in our vehicle to Soraypampa, the starting point of our hike. Here the ascent of approximately 2 km on foot begins, in the middle of high-mountain landscapes, with views of the imposing snow-capped peaks of the Andes. As altitude is gained, the air becomes purer and the connection with nature more intense.

Upon reaching the Humantay Lagoon, you will be amazed by its waters of an intense turquoise color, surrounded by mountains and glaciers that reflect the magnificence of the environment. You will have free time to enjoy the landscape, take memorable photographs and, if you wish, perform a small Andean ceremony of gratitude to the Pachamama.

After this encounter with nature, we will begin the return to Soraypampa and then to Mollepata, where a well-deserved buffet lunch awaits us. At the end of the afternoon, we will begin the return to Cusco.

After a delicious breakfast in Cusco, we will begin our trip to the south of the country on one of the most scenic and enriching routes in Peru: the Ruta del Sol, an overland journey full of history, imposing landscapes and cultural legacy.

Our first stop will be at the famous Chapel of Andahuaylillas, known as the "Sistine Chapel of America" for its impressive mural art and its baroque details dating from the 17th century. Its interior is a jewel of fusion between colonial faith and the Andean worldview.

Then we will visit the Raqchi Archaeological Complex, an ancient religious and administrative center dedicated to the god Wiracocha. Here you will admire colossal walls, terraces and circular deposits that show the magnitude of Inca construction knowledge.

Later, we will enjoy a buffet lunch at a restaurant along the route, ideal to relax while we contemplate the Andean landscapes. Continuing the trip, we will make a stop at the La Raya Pass, the highest point of the journey (4,335 m.a.s.l.), from where you get spectacular views of the snow peaks and the highland plains. It is the natural boundary between Cusco and Puno.

Our last visit will be to the Pukara Lithic Museum, which houses pre-Inca sculptures and pieces of the Pukara culture, one of the oldest civilizations of the Peruvian highlands. This site will allow us to learn more about the cultural roots of the region.

At dusk we will arrive at the city of Puno, on the shores of the mystical Lake Titicaca, where we will settle into a 3- to 4-star hotel, ideal to rest and prepare for the lake experience of the following day.

After breakfast, we will embark on a fascinating day through the legendary Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, to live an authentic contact with the ancestral cultures that inhabit its floating islands. We will begin the day with pickup from your hotel in Puno to head to the port, where we will board the vessel that will take us to get to know one of the most singular cultural wonders of Peru.

Our first stop will be at the Floating Islands of the Uros, ingenious platforms built with totora reed, where their inhabitants keep millenary traditions alive. You will get to know their way of life, their history, their construction techniques and you will have the opportunity to interact directly with the inhabitants, who will welcome you with kindness and pride.

Then, we will continue to the island of Taquile, famous for its Andean landscape, its textile art declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO and its community organized around collective work. Here, we will enjoy a typical lunch on the shore of the lake, while we appreciate the tranquility and beauty of this natural environment. This is a unique opportunity to live with a culture that has known how to keep its roots alive over time.

At the end of the afternoon, we will return by boat to the city of Puno. You will have free time to rest or explore on your own before the next stage of the trip.

After intensely living the cultural, historical and natural diversity of Peru, the time comes to say goodbye. At the previously coordinated time, we will carry out the transfer from your hotel in Puno to the Inca Manco Cápac International Airport, located in the city of Juliaca. Our team will be in charge of ensuring your punctual and safe arrival, accompanying you to the boarding area so you can continue your route back home or to your next destination.
